Information sharing sites are sites like Digg, where you can post news in the form of a continuous information feed. Internet users click on links that interest them and, in turn, pass on those that are most interesting. Here's a list of Digg-likes which could help you promote your project :

It is quite useful information and I use to promote my movies online website on social portals like Digg,Stumbleupon and Redit. Also recently I have listed my website on Venturebeatprofiles succesfully. I guess these kind of social links will pass such a great value and help engage the visitors on site.
